The variety of activity options have made Lowenstein Park one of the most popular parks in Lee’s Summit, Missouri for a long time. In 2019, a major renovation begun to revitalize the park with new walking trails, gathering areas and a new playground. Through a competitive RFP process, ABcreative was chosen to provide a turnkey project that included all play equipment, professional installation and safety surfacing. Two adjacent playgrounds were developed. One playground including 2-5 age-appropriate equipment and one for ages 5-12. A variety of equipment was chosen from the ABcreative portfolio of manufacturers and the project was completed in the fall of 2020. The result has been a very successful and popular play space for the entire community and beyond.

The 5-12 area is home to:
- an amazing 24-foot tower with slides and multiple platform play areas
- a nature-inspired climbing boulder that has routes for every ability
In the 2-5 area:
- Playgrounds don't have to be flat anymore! Synthetic turf surfacing with mounds and a tunnel give the playground a unique design where kids can sit, jump, lie, roll, crawl and play.
- Kids love climbing but they also like animals and insects, too. With the caterpillar from ID Sculptures, they get both in one that is the just the right size!
