Kansas City - Missouri
Hodge Park
- Kansas City Missouri Parks and Recreation serves a large and diverse population. Their projects are always enjoyable to work on because they want every park and playground to have a unique look and feel. They push us to provide the very best accessible to all, and most cutting edge playgrounds.
- Landscape architects at Land 3 studio and ABcreative worked together to create a fun, cohesive, and holistic design to the entire playground. Some historical references are included using pieces from ID Sculpture and the large, custom, Berliner tower at the top of the playground is a prime spot for a look out.

- This play area is a very large space and has 6-8 feet of change in grade from the high side to the low side. This challenge was turned into an opportunity to use the grade for embankment slides and open play. The chosen Berliner Terranos climbing rope pieces are able to be installed in sloped environments and still tensioned appropriately.
- Equipment Used: Berliner, ID Sculpture, ForeverLawn Playground Grass, and Cedar Forest Products
