Heritage Park, near the heart of downtown Smithville, MO, includes a popular walking path, picnic shelter, and baseball fields. A playground connected to the field by a walking path, overlooks the main baseball field. Today, kids of all ages can have loads of fun at this new baseball-themed playground.
What can be better than a baseball-themed playground? One that offers kids the 7 elements of play: balance, climb, brachiate, swing, spin, slide, and an experience for the senses.
At the Heritage Park playground, you will:
Stir the imaginations of ages 2-5 with customized panels designed to look like a ball game snack bar. The accessible structure also features a roller slide, giving youngsters a unique sensory experience.
Swings for all ages, including the popular parent-child swing and an ADA seat.
Entice young ones to start climbing with colorful, creative baseball-themed climbers from ID Sculptures. Made from glass fiber reinforced concrete, the texture provides children with a fun tactile learning experience.
The accessible spinner encourages teamwork and socializing. Sit facing out, facing in or experiment with other positions. The spinner accommodates up to 9 children at a time.
Play “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” and other fun songs on the colorful Cavatina chime. The song book helps children learn to read music in a fun and visual way, by using color.
Kids love to climb. A combination 3D climber continues the baseball theme with custom painted connection balls that look like baseballs! True 3D climbing from Berliner is always engaging because it challenges climbers to think and reason and hones their decision-making skills.
Ready to return to the action of the baseball field? Take a fast ride down the hill slide! It ends at the base of the hill adjacent to the main ball field.
