Bettendorf, Iowa, has many high-quality parks and the city continually works to maintain and improve them. Hollowview Park got a makeover, adding some very unique character to the park.
In updating Hollowview Park, the city and the parks department wanted a themed playground. The ABCreative team, headed by Larry Rife, proposed a pirate ship. In the final design, the pirate ship play equipment appears to be floating in a blue ocean with waves lapping at the shoreline.

The pirate ship play equipment from Burke enables children to create their own adventures, pretending to be a pirate or an explorer on the high seas! Imaginative play helps children develop language, social and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think creatively. Of course, bottom line, this is just fun play equipment!
